What are managed services?

Managed services are a set of tools and services that can be used to monitor and maintain the health and performance of your network and proactively eliminate problems before they have the chance to affect system uptime.

What is network monitoring? Can you see everything I do on my computers?

Network monitoring refers to using tools to monitor the status, health, availability and performance of various devices on a network. This monitoring looks at information like network connectivity, error logs, processor and disk usage and virus definitions. It does not allow someone to see data or what a user might be doing.

I know someone who can fix my computers, why shouldn't I just use him or her?

Computers are a critical and essential business tool. While the "person you know" might be a short term solution, it is much better in the long run to employ professionals. Most people who can "do computers" are not trained in how to get the most security and reliability out of systems. It is a much better business choice to spend a bit more money now to have trained and experienced experts install and configure your computer systems rather than having to pay for lost productivity due to downtime later on.

My computer crashed from a virus. Can I get any of my data back?

In almost every case the answer is yes. Kieltek can recover data from computers that have been attacked by viruses; however, it is never possible to guarantee full data recovery. It is rare that most, if not all, data from an infected computer can be recovered.

Do you do Websites?

Absolutely. We are working with experienced design professionals to deliver high quality websites and web applications for businesses and individuals. One of our latest developments is an information portal for real estate brokerages that allows users to access business relevant information over the Internet.

How much can I expect to pay for your services?

Our service rates are very competitive. We offer monthly packages as well as hourly rates that are customized to meet your unique needs. Most of our clients choose managed services and enjoy a monthly fixed fee option. This service allows our clients the simplicity of a monthly fee for their network maintenance needs combined with regular on-site visits. Projects that enhance or augment the current environment are outside the scope and are charged accordingly.

We begin with a comprehensive network assessment to determine the reliability and stability of your computing environment. The results will help determine how we can put services and costs into a package that provides the ongoing monthly care your network requires.

Who are your clients?

We work with industry-leading businesses, as well as young entrepreneurs and start-up companies. Check out our client list and testimonials here.

As the owner, what do you do?

My job is to help business owners navigate IT options and possibilities. By meeting with them I create an understanding of their longer term business goals, assess their current situation and come up with some IT options to assist them in achieving their objectives and making their IT related operations run smoothly.

What is an "IT Consultant"?

An IT consultant works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Consultants work to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization's IT systems. They may also be responsible for user training and feedback and are increasingly involved in marketing and business development projects.

Do you work on-site or remotely?

Years ago almost every service call required a personal visit. Today, the software industry develops excellent remote assistance products that allow faster and more efficient troubleshooting. We see this as a contribution to the environment. Every trip we don't take helps our planet. However, certain jobs still require on-site service. Another important aspect for us is the personal communication and face-to-face interaction, and for that no "remote tool" has been developed.
